Government Grants

Since its launch in August 2006, the Australian Government's LPG Vehicle Scheme has helped hundreds of thousands of Australians to successfully converted to LPG motoring. The scheme currently offers a grant of $1750 for the LPG conversion (retrofit) of a new or used petrol or diesel motor vehicle.

The 2009 Federal Budget advised that, over the next few years, this grant will reduce as follows:

• $1,500 from 1/7/10
• $1,250 from 1/7/11
• $1,000 from 1/7/12 (until 30/6/14)

On average, LPG Autogas sells for half the price per litre of unleaded petrol. While LPG contains less energy per litre than petrol - slightly increasing fuel consumption - the much lower pump price of LPG means your total vehicle running costs will be significantly reduced.

Those savings are improved even further by fitting an Orbital LLi system - its superior combustion efficiency improving LPG fuel consumption over other, less sophisticated, LPG fuel systems.

• Intergraded LPG gauge that runs of fuel gauge depending on vehicle system
• LPG Filler in same compartment as fuel filler
• Vehicles are dual fuel that runs on Petrol and LPG that can be switched by driver
• All vehicles are inspected for petrol tune (air filter, spark plugs and coil/ignition leads)

Environmental Benefits

With global warming a reality, the world is in a race to find cleaner alternative fuels that produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions. LPG Autogas is our most widely and readily available alternative fuel, with more than 3200 outlets across Australia.

LPG-powered vehicles emit significantly fewer greenhouse gases than petrol-powered equivalents. Orbital's tests show that converting a petrol engine with our LLi system reduces C02 emissions by up to 13 per cent. The LLi system has been specifically calibrated to ensure the emission requirements of the Australian Design Rules are maintained.
